Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Thana Bhavan, Suresh Rana, grew to become the very first MLA to become charged with his alleged role in fanning communal violence in Muzaffarnagar.
A non-bailable warrant of arrest has been released against him with a Muzaffarnagar court on Wednesday.
Condition IG (Law and Order) R.K. Vishwakarma stated the MLA was arrested on Friday in the Hazratganj section of Lucknow as they was on his method to Gomtinagar in the BJP office. Mr. Rana’s arrest came right after the outcome from the monsoon session from the Set up.
Arrest warrants are also released against two other BJP MLA’s, Sangeet Singh Som and Kunwar Bhartendu Singh.
Mr. Vishwakarma told reporters the action was taken based on the wanted application provided by the Muzaffarnagar police.
He stated Mr. Rana was reserved under Sections 188, 153 (A), 353 and 435 from the IPC and Section seven from the Criminal Law Amendment Act, that is non-bailable.
