Former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, key accused within the Geetika Sharma suicide situation, was today delivered to 14-day judicial custody of the children with a Delhi court.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Justice of the peace D K Jangala remanded Mr. Kanda to judicial custody of the children till September 11 following the Delhi police stated he wasn’t needed for more custodial interrogation.
Mr. Kanda was created prior to the court after expiry of 72 hours of police custody of the children that was extended on August 25 after 7 days of custodial interrogation.
The previous minister was arrested on August 18 after he’d surrendered prior to the police, almost 13 days after former air hostess Geetika Sharma was discovered accurate August 5 at her Ashok Vihar residence in north-west Delhi.
In her own suicide note, Geetika had alleged that Kanda and among the MDLR employees Aruna Chaddha were bothering her to rejoin the previous minister’s firm after she left the task.
Mr. Kanda also moved a credit card application for any separate vehicle for transportation from Tihar jail to the court stating that presently he is part of legislative set up from Sirsa, Haryana and till lately, he was the minister of Home Matters from the condition and feared he or she is assaulted inside a jail van.
A legal court permitted Mr. Kanda’s plea for any separate vehicle for transportation back and forth from Tihar jail and court.
“In the fact and circumstances, considering security and safety of the accused, his applications are allowed, because it relates to personal safety,” a legal court stated.
The applying filed through advocate Somesh Arora stated till now Mr. Kanda was under police protection however he’s been remanded to judicial custody of the children, “there is strong possibility of physical attack upon him during the transportation from Tihar jail to court”.
A legal court also permitted Mr. Kanda plea that he’s someone of high bloodstream pressure and that he be permitted to hold his medications within the jail.
Earlier, law enforcement had stated that Mr. Kanda was evasive in the solutions and the researchers had searched for his custody of the children to recuperate his and Geetika’s cell phones and missing hard disk drive of his computer installed at his house.
On August 16, a magisterial court had released a non-bailable warrant (NBW) from the former Haryana minister. A legal court had requested law enforcement to complete the arrest warrant by August 24.
Earlier, Mr. Kanda’s anticipatory bail plea was declined with a period’s court and the Delhi High Court.
Mr. Kanda’s worker, Aruna Chaddha, a senior functionary with now defunct MDLR air carriers, arrested on August 8 can also be in judicial custody of the children regarding the suicide of 23-year-old air hostess Geetika Sharma.
