India is ready to give prices of Iranian Oil in Euro Instead of Indian Rupee

Petroleum and Gas Ministry sources said that Indian government was ready to pay for Iranian fuel in Euros instead of Indian rupee. On Monday, citing reliable sources, the Telegraph newspaper reported that after the formal application from Iran, India would take initiative for paying the price of oil in Euro instead of Rupees as soon as possible.

On March 16th, International Affairs Director of Iran National Oil Company, Mohsen Kamasari said, “India wants to increase oil imports from Iran. We declare with respect to their interest that the situation of taking the oil price in Euro has been made.” Continue reading

America Issued Arrest Warrant against Khobragade; India is frustrated

Indian diplomat Debjani Khobragade has been accused to the fraud charge by the U.S. Court, and an arrest warrant has been issued against her. Manhattan Federal Court has newly started this case against the Indian diplomat. Debjani has been charged for visa fraud and for giving false information of her maid’s salary in visa application. However, the same charge has been issued just after a court in New York dismissed the charge against her showing diplomatic immunities.

India has expressed disappointment at this step of America. Indian government spokesman Syed Akbaruddin said that both countries were trying to establish a strategic relation between New Delhi and Washington and such decision will have a negative impact on it. Continue reading
