Anna Hazare is an Indian social worker. His real name is Kisan Baburao Hazare. He received special recognition for the development program in Ralegon-Siddhi village in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. His efforts turned this village is an idol village. He was awarded the honor of Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 1992for his recognition. From 5 April 2011, he had been doing hunger strike and created pressure on the central government demanding ‘Jon Lokpal Bill’ passed for stopping corruption in government offices.
Anna Hazare was born in a family of unskilled laborers in Bhingari Village in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. His father was Baburao Hazare, and mother was Laksmibai. They had five acres of land. Former Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh N Hegde on Monday referred to Anna Hazare’s intends to launch a political party being an “impossible task even as a venture.” Proclaiming that he’d stopped to participate the Anna Team that has now been dissolved, Justice Hegde inside a brief interview to TOI here on Monday stated: “We were fighting politics and corruption all this time from outside. Now to change the system, the plan to get inside requires huge finances and manpower. It is just not possible.”
